We spent Thanksgiving in the Bay Area this year. Jack's Uncle Tommy, Aunt Sara and cousin Dorothy spent the week on the West Coast as well. It was their first time meeting Jack and I'm pretty sure he charmed them. Dorothy kept us abreast of what Jack was up to at all times ("Baby Jack's sleeping." Baby Jack's awake." "Baby Jack's crying." Baby Jack's eating..."), and she was sure to say hi to him every so often to remind him that she was still there. She must have picked this up this little trick from the Kearney side.
It was a busy and fun-filled week. Jack's social calendar was booked solid. Between Great-Gramma's birthday party, playgroup, Thanksgiving, Sausage and his baptism, Jack saw or met almost the entire family and many friends old and new. He didn't roll any gnocchi, eat any turkey or stuff any sausages this year, but he was sure to soak it all in and looks forward to being a more active participant in the holiday festivities in the years to come.
It was great to get together with everyone and we scored a few family photos while we had the chance...
