First Easter

Yesterday was a busy one!  Jack was so excited for Easter that he woke up at 5:45 that morning and couldn't go back to sleep.  Maybe the Easter Bunny woke him up...

He had time for a long nap before church, then we headed down to the Easter festival on Union Street.  The overly-eager parents were blocking his view of the petting zoo, but he did get to see a chicken and a duck from afar.  He ran into a couple of his playgroup friends at the festival, enjoyed the sunshine, watched mom eat some kettle corn, then headed home for nap numero dos.  Immediately upon waking, he was whisked away to Great Aunt Rosemary and Great Uncle Albert's house in Belmont, where he was the center of attention for most of the evening.  All of the commotion drove Jack to his slow-mo cry a few times (exaggerated sad face with protruding lower lip followed by cry that seems to take forever to come out), but aside from hurting almost everyone's feelings by fussing when they held him, he was a good boy.  Apparently stranger anxiety is upon us.  Although he did seem to warm up to everyone as the evening went on.  He had fun playing with his new toys from Grandma and Great Grandma and enjoyed showing everyone how he can sit, stand, scoot and almost crawl.

Thanks to Auntie Rose and Uncle Albert for the delicious dinner and for letting Jack get fingerprints all over your coffee table and windows!
