This was the most excited we've been for Halloween since about 1989. I had fun decorating the front of the house with cobwebs, spiders, ghosts and jack-o-lanterns. But the most fun, of course, was dressing Jack up. Last year, if you remember, he was dressed as a hula dancer in Hawaii. This year, he was a pirate in Lafayette. Shiver me timbers!
Our street does an annual Halloween get together... all the kids trick-or-treat up and down our street while the adults enjoy a drink or two. It was fun to talk to our neighbors and meet a few for the first time. Jack made friends with a neighborhood dog and got his first Halloween treats. He looked adorable in his costume and had fun running up and down the street in it. He also enjoyed digging through the candy bowl.
