We had a great Easter weekend. Saturday was Jesse's birthday and my parents took us out to dinner at Pican restaurant in Oakland to celebrate. Pican is an awesome southern food establishment with an incredible whiskey selection. Jesse finally got to try some Pappy Van Winkle, both of the men enjoyed some legit Old Fashioned's, and the girls sipped on yummy bourbon-spiked specialty drinks. We stuffed ourselves full of fried green tomatoes, crawfish mac-n-cheese, fried chicken and catfish, then topped it off with dessert. Jack stayed home with his first paid babysitter. She said he was a good boy. :)
Sunday we went to church, where Jack danced and charmed everyone sitting within 15 feet of us. It was a beautiful day, so we had brunch out back and played with all of Jack's bubble-blowing paraphernalia. Mom and I dyed eggs while Jack napped. After his nap, Jack hunted for Easter eggs, which was so fun that we had to hide some of the eggs again. Jack ate dinner with all of us... he loved the rack of lamb and potatoes, especially when dipped in the mint-yogurt sauce. Pretty nice dinner for a toddler!
