She was quite modest and didn't want to uncross her legs for us for a really long time, but after some poking, prodding and rolling around, she finally cooperated. I can't wait to see what a great big brother Jack will be. Jesse and I are very excited to embark on the new adventure of raising a girl! I feel so blessed and fortunate for the opportunity to experience having both a son and a daughter.
The hardest part for now... coming up with a name! If we had one, we'd be happy to share it. But until then, we'll just call her lil' sis, baby bean (beanette?), or something equally affectionate yet generic.
Sorry if ultrasound pics aren't your cup of tea, but for those who are interested, here are a few shots of our girly. I'm 15 weeks pregnant, so that makes her about 4 inches long and 2.5 oz (BabyCenter says "about the size of an apple.") Scrumptious.
In closely related news, Jack is also going to have his first boy cousin! Nick and Heather (due about 2 weeks before me) found out yesterday that they're having a boy. It's been a very exciting past couple days for all of us and we're looking forward to all the good times to come.
